About Daastan

Daastan exists because talent has never been the scarce thing in Pakistan — access has. A writer with a finished manuscript and no contacts had nowhere obvious to take it, and we set out to be that place.

We handle a book end to end: editing, cover and interior design, an ISBN from our own registered block, printing, and distribution to bookshops and online. Royalties are paid on every copy sold and tracked on a dashboard the author can open any day of the week.

A book does not end at the printer, so neither do we. Launches, literary evenings and festival appearances put our writers in front of readers, and a title stays on sale long after its publication day.

Earlier Pakistani writers could only dream of getting published. Now it is easier with the more than supportive team of Daastan which is now more of a family to me. Amazing experience publishing my first book with Daastan.

The Ripple by Mahnoor Kareem - Daastan

Daastan, founded on the very notion of being able to tell your stories by putting one's word out there in the world as a whole, becoming a part of this universe; materializes its principles through the journey of thousands of authors we have published. One such journey is that of Mahnoor Kareem, a teenager from Rawalpindi who grew up aspiring to be an exceptional author and chose to become one of them. From finishing a book in a single day to becoming the author of one, she is a treasured Daastan-published author. In an interview, she revealed that her father used to write short stories for so

I personally does not know who the writer is but the way she has written the book can easily explain who she as a person is. overall 5 star. i would give it 10 if available. tis book would define you your boundaries, your limits and you limits without boundaries. this book has described "love" the way perfect i never imagin it could be. never read an anthology before but now I'm a fan.

hats off ..

Manal Aliyan 5 November 2021

This is not a story made up of words, sentences, and paragraphs. This is a diagnostic report of a sick society where women are treated as lesser beings, where children are abused on a daily basis and where talking about such evils is also a crime. The author depicted this with emotions, feelings, and sentiments. If you'd read it with an open heart you'll feel like you are living every scene of this story. Perfectly written by a brave person.
