Daastan exists because talent has never been the scarce thing in Pakistan — access has. A writer with a finished manuscript and no contacts had nowhere obvious to take it, and we set out to be that place.
We handle a book end to end: editing, cover and interior design, an ISBN from our own registered block, printing, and distribution to bookshops and online. Royalties are paid on every copy sold and tracked on a dashboard the author can open any day of the week.
A book does not end at the printer, so neither do we. Launches, literary evenings and festival appearances put our writers in front of readers, and a title stays on sale long after its publication day.
A good online approach, where I could hand over my data without the fear that it would be stolen. A safe and secure platform.See the original post
Earlier Pakistani writers could only dream of getting published. Now it is easier with the more than supportive team of Daastan which is now more of a family to me. Amazing experience publishing my first book with Daastan.See the original post
Their coordination is very humble and relaxing. The quality of work really impressed me and I would highly recommend Daastan to writers and all who are linked with art or writing.See the original post

A truly inspiring read! Engineering for Humanity beautifully showcases how engineers are tackling huge global challenges with a compassionate, human-centered approach. It’s an uplifting look at innovation that genuinely helps communities, shifting the focus from just building things to building a better, more sustainable world.
Very well written and very well knitted short story. I could literally picture all the scenes and feel all the feelings that writer wanted to communicate in this book. I appreciate Daastan team for providing a platform for such beautiful writers.
It was so great to go through this Anthology and remember all the good memories associated with its compilation. I could see many familiar names that are still part of Bookay exhibiting their sheer talent. A great literary contribution from all the writers.
